The 20th ASEA Congress was held in Dakar from 14 to 21 July 2022 at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD).
ASEA, in collaboration with Senelec, organised the event under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Senegal and the Ministry of Oil and Energy.
This Congress adopted the theme of: “The need for public service and the performance of African electricity companies”, and also marked ASEA’s 50th anniversary.
The theme was addressed under four headings or sub-themes
- Accelerating access to electricity for people in rural and peri-urban areas
- Digitalisation of electricity companies for a better quality of public service to customers
- Promoting the sharing of good practice among electricity sector actors
- Energy efficiency as a lever to improve the viability of utilities
African electricity companies, international partners and experts were able to debate and exchange on the themes and sub-themes mentioned above.
We were present at the site dedicated to French businesses participating in the 20th ASEA Congress.
French technologies in the field of electricity, electrical equipment and smart grids were represented at the French Pavilion.
Correspondingly, French companies were able to welcome various actors visit their stands.
