Dry-type cast resin transformers

Resin transformers up to 15 MVA and 52 kV

Dry-type cast resin transformers combine environmentally friendly technology with flexible use for economical energy distribution with close proximity to the consumer. They comply with the IEC 60076-11 or EN 60076-11 as well as VDE 0532-76-11.

Quick and easy to install, they are suitable for use in:

  • Prefabricated and small size HV/LV substations
  • Areas with fire and pollution risks
  • Buildings accessible to the public

They are also easy to install and have low environmental impact.

Description of dry-type cast resin transformers

Dry-type cast resin transformers have the following characteristics:

  • HV windings cast in the resin
  • LT windings impregnated in the resin
  • Magnetic circuit made of grain-oriented low loss electro-laminations
  • The joints are made with Step-Lap technology
  • Partial discharge level < 10 pC
  • Thermal class F – Heating temperature 100 K
  • Ambient temperature 40°C, altitude 1000 m
  • Self-extinguishing with low smoke emission, F1 classification
  • Thermal shock resistant, C2 classification
  • Resistant to moisture and atmospheric pollution, E2 classification
